Where to go after dark in St Vincent & The Grenadines
Those looking for evening entertainment on St Vincent and the Grenadines will mostly find it within the compound of their hotel or resort. But fear not, if you find yourself getting a bit of cabin fever, there are a few places for you to escape to, from scenic sunset cocktails and relaxed beach bars, to vibrant nightclubs and live performances.
The night time entertainments on St Vincent and the Grenadines are mostly contained within hotels and resorts. Guest are usually able to find out in advance the shows and events planned for the week at their resort and, larger resorts are more likely to offer a wider selection of entertainments than smaller hotels. But a sunset cocktail is a resort's must have!
If you wish to take the night further, St Vincent does have a few nightclubs, such as the Aquatic club and theBuccama Club on the Leeward Coast, while The Attic in Kingstown offers a wide variety of music during the week and live entertainment at weekends. In Kingstown, The Emotions nightclub is where you’ll find the locals, along with the Iguana and Marcomay in Villa.
A scenic place to kick off your evening with a sunset cocktail or two is at Young Island, where you'll find Basil's, a great spot for dinner and dancing, on Villa Beach. As a general rule, talking to the locals is a great way of finding out where the drink specials and live entertainment are at on the night.
If you can, spend your Thursday evening at Frangipani for a barbecue and steel band show- a true flavour of the Caribbean- whilst Tuesdays and Saturdays are a popular time to pay a visit to Harpoon Saloon, for more exciting steel band performances.
