Where to go after dark in Dominica
When on holiday here, it’s mostly the case that people stick to the evening entertainment hosted by their resort; depending on where you stay, this can vary from theatrical performances to “jing ping” concerts, and more, and most places have a bar on site.
BARS
It wouldn’t feel like a holiday without and Irish bar! If you fancy a taste of home- a pint and fish and chips perhaps, then head to O'Byrne's Irish Pub, which is popular with locals and has a DJ at weekends.
The famous Spider Pie can only be found at Spiders bar. Its top secret what goes into the pie, but people travel from all over for a taste.
Having no roof is a great reminder that you’re on your Caribbean holiday! Symes Zee's is a busy bar that packs out on Thursday nights when a live jazz band plays.
As at home, many bars are attached to restaurants, these include Garage Bar & Grill, Melivina's Champagne Bar & Restaurant, Saaman Tree, Stone Edge, and Sundowner's Cafe.
NIGHTCLUBS
If you want to dance the night away, then try the newest club on the island; The Cove on Rockaway Beach in Roseau also has a sports bar. The Palladium Disco is part of the Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort and Spa, and while its free for registered guests, non-residents will need to purchase a day pass ($60 USD) which also gives access to the on-site restaurant.
The Warehouse, located near the airport in Roseau is one of the most popular places to dance on a Saturday night- they have an entry fee of $5USD.
